Brief History About FACE
FACE is a Malawian NGO established in 2004 with a goal to empower communities to be self-reliant
and enjoy a dignified life through improved nutrition, food security, and financial
sustainability. The organization's core values are transparency, accountability, mutual respect,
objectivity, fairness, impartiality, and teamwork. The FACE governance structure has a Board of
Trustees providing guidance, and the Secretariat, headed by an Executive Director, is organized
under three Departments: Programs, Finance and Administration, and Monitoring & Evaluation.
FACE
has implemented programs in sustainable livelihoods, environmental management, and disaster risk
recovery, with notable achievements including the establishment of livelihood improvement
programs, village savings and loan groups, and flood-resilient houses. FACE's headquarters is
located in Bangula Trading Centre, Traditional Authority Mbenje, in Nsanje district.
